Camoshita SS19 Collection – Pitti Uomo Preview

Twice a year the unmistakable wooden stand at Pitti is home to the outstanding creations of creative genius Yasuto Kamoshita. If you search my archives chances are you’ll come across a series of well-documented collections from the last 5 or so years, and there’s a reason for it. Simply put, if money wasn’t an issue, Camoshita would likely comprise a vast majority of my wardrobe.

As I see it, few brands are able to mix classic and casual as brilliantly as Camoshita – tailored suits and sports jackets are layered over checked shirts, plain colored tees, or Fairisle sweaters; drawstring tailored trousers are paired with sneakers and safari and Harrington-like jackets. In essence, it materializes the ever-so-sought delicate balance between formal and casual, so many brands struggle to achieve.
